Top 10 scents for the chill

Smelling good is just as inportant as dressing well. And as the temperature falls and days get shorter, perfumes are released in stronger scents. I have two winter favourites that I can't live without and can't wait to wear each winter. 

My first choice is always Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme this is  their debut fragrance that was launched in 1992 and I haven't yet found a fragrance that can top it.
It is a sweet scent, yet mature, sophisticated and passionate.
Even in the eau de toilette this fragrance can last all night long.

If i don't reach for my first choice I'd go for  Vivienne  Westwood's boudoir. This fragrance was designed to make all men turn heads with lust.

It is a warm spicy, floral fragrance that is perfect for wintery days and sexy nights out.

The bottle was designed by Fabrice Legros. The top is made as a globe encircled by a ring, which symbolises the power of femininity.

I walked by the boots perfume counter the other day and eyed up some new perfumes on display. I have always dreamed of owning a pair of Jimmy choos ever since watching Sex and the city and was excited to see he has delved into the perfume industry. This perfume has been on shelves since 2011 but was my first time seeing  and smelling it.

Simply named Jimmy choo this is a great sensual scent not over powering although sweet it has a subtlety to it making it a great anytime perfume, day or night summer or winter.

Im also a sucker for a funky or interesting bottle to adorn my dressing table, and add to my collection and I have desperately been seeking the new limited edition to daisy by Marc Jacobs called Daisy hot pink. It is said to be feminine and fruity with top notes of  wild strawberries and jasmine.

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir is a unique scent that is suited for evenings and the colder months. With its woody and spicy scent that transforms throughout its wear. I chose the lotion as it tends to last longer than the perfume. To me this is the perfect blend of fruity and spicy.

I love the way perfumes can take you back in time to the memories once had. Christian Dior Dolce Vita does just that. It reminds me of christmas and my favourite Moschino hand embroidered scarf  that I used to spray with this scent that made me feel so warm and cozy on my commute to work back in my early 20s. This is definately a warming spicy scent with notes of vanilla that is guaranteed to last all day.

Seductive, sexy and exotic Jasmin Noir by Bvlgari  is all woman and not for the girly types. Suited to a confident woman who knows what she wants and how she's gonna get it. Definitely not a scent for everyday but for a special occasion so its magic can work. The perfect accessory to feel luxurious on a date night.

This is such a pleasant and welcoming feminine scent great for wearing with a cosy winter cashmere sweater or a cocktail dress. It is a great scent for all ages and occasions and exudes class from each note. It is a powdery floral scent made sweet by honey and vanilla tones. L'Instant de Guerlain is a must  for any ladies collection.

As christmas is fast approaching i thought id add two mens fragrances to the list. Now the first one id say was unisex even though it isn't marketed that way. The vanilla notes are so delicious and intriguing that you just want to smell it more and more. Definitely a long-lasting scent that makes a man smell edible and strong. The oriental  woody notes make it a perfect winter cologne.

This has to the best fragrance out of Tom Fords 12 piece private blend collection. Oud wood is a warm  , woody and slightly smoky scent that exudes a manly sexiness. Some say its over priced and go for YSL M7 which is a dupe but also made by Tom ford with a much lower price tag. But if you or your man  adores their perfume collection this is a must.
